About the event
Arriving for my first visit to Paso Robles to tour a winery I was amazed at the landscape as our plane asended in San Luis Obispo. Honestly it reminded me of an earlier tour of the Highlands in Scotland, rolling hills of green with rocky knolls
intermingled. Paso Robles is located approximately halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco in northern San Luis Obispo County on California’s Central Coast. Warm inland afternoons and cool marine-moderated evenings with temperature swings of 50 degrees not unusual during the summer months.
The town of Paso Robles is a small and quaint farm town with big breakfast, large hats and cowboy boots. Very differant from our Northern California wine regions.
It is with great pleasure to share with you the wines of Vina Robles. Estate wines, sustainably grown, at affordable prices that are approachable and delicious if I might say so myself. Hans Nef native of Switzerland achieved his dream starting his winery in 1997 in Paso Robles now passed down to his family today. A dream achieved, five vineyard sites, 1,100 acres, amphitheatre seating 3,300 people. Well done Mr. Nef!
