Fall in love with Sicily!

We will be tasting the wines of Mount Etna and one Super Sicilian with Zane Cress of Atlanta Beverage February 17th from 3:00-6:00. Getting back on track with our three different time slots.

Etna stands out is due to its rare terroir. The soils around vineyards are rocky, fast-draining, nutrient-poor, and mineral-rich (magnesium). Because of its volcanic origin, Etna's overall soil is a mix of decomposed lava, ash, and sand. These soils are the result of eruptions dating back millennia.

Not to mention, who doesn't love Italian wines, Italian foods & the Italian heritage in general? From pasta, pizza, cheese & breads there is nothing like the foods infused with the aromas of garlic, olive oil, basil, oregano & tomatoes. Paring these wonderful flavors of Sicilian wines from the Mount Etna area with the Norello Mascalese grape, Norello Cappuccio along with the whites from the Carricante variety are a favorite of mine. We will do our best to too offer some great parings, I do have a little Sicilian in me.
