Well, aren't we the lucky little town! From our last visitor Charles Mignon Champagne House to our upcoming tasting of Chateau Peyfaures of Bordeaux France. If you missed the amazing and educational tasting of Charles Mignon Champagne doesn't mean you have to miss our Bordeaux tasting. Join us Friday October 27 @ 6:00pm as we taste the three wines of Chateau Peyfaures along with two other Bordeaux wines. Mary Bellando vice president of sales for Chateau Peyfaures will be joining us to explain Bordeaux along with Zane Cress of Atlanta Beverage.
A touch of history of Chateau Peyfaures:
Just 6 minutes south of St Emilion, UNESCO's world heritage medieval town, in the small hamlet of Genissac, you will find Château Peyfaures – one of the most highly reputed vineyards in the appellation of Bordeaux Supérieur. Nestled among ancient trees and sweeping limestone hills, the vineyard has been steadily producing premium quality wine for nearly 190 years.
Although it’s an appellation steeped in rigid tradition, Château Peyfaures prides itself on being a resolutely progressive estate with its eye on producing the best the region can offer. Having witnessed seven generations having cared for the estate since 1830, the last in the line.
