Please join us Friday September 18th with Blake Howell of Georgia Crown as we taste through the wines of Illahe, Willamette Oregon. Our last tasting was with the wines of Burgundy, we thought tasting through Oregon would be very educational and interesting seeing that Burgundy and Oregon are on the same latitude. We have tasted the wines of Illahe a few years back, but many changes are in the Illahe portfolio. New wines, new vintages and as always, an amazing story.
80 acres of pristine vineyards located in Willamette Valley focusing on a holistic approach. Harvest is done by hand, minimal intervention and historical winemaking techniques characterize the winemaking at Illahe. Some wines are plowed by horse drawn plows, thus the Pinot Noir Percheron, wooden basket press and dry farmed. With all these historical practices being used it isn't amazing how wonderful they all taste.
